"I am Happy, I am good"

                               Yoga Chant:
"I am Happy, I am good"

This is the time of year when children are asked if they have been naughty or nice. We prefer to build a child's self esteem up and this chant is a wonderful way to do so:

Chant without instructions on hand placement:
"I am happy, I am good. I am Happy, I am good. Sat Nam, Sat Nam, Sat Nam, Ji. Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Ji. Sat Nam, Sat Nam, Sat Nam, Ji. Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Ji."

Help with sounds: Sat( Sot) Nam (Nam like in Viet"nam"), Wahe (Wah-hey), Guru(goo roo), Ji (Gee)

Chant with instructions on hand placement:
"I am Happy, I am good. I am Happy, I am good" (with arms at their sides, elbows bent, hands in the peace sign going up and down slightly)
"Sat Nam, Sat Nam, Sat Nam, Ji.(with hands in prayer pose(palms touching) have hands in front of lower abdomen on first Sat Nam, then in front of the heart on the 2nd Sat Nam, then in front of the forehead (3rd eye) on the last Sat Nam. Raise arms overhead on the Ji) Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Ji". (roll hands from lower abdomen up during Wahe Guru's to end on Ji)
"Sat Nam, Sat Nam, Sat Nam, Ji. Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Ji".(repeat hands rolling)

Repeat from I am Happy, I am good as many times as needed for the child to feel confident.
